Job Description :
Prepares and updates a checklist of all applicable HSE legislation for vessel and office.
Ensures Company compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environment Legislation for Vessels and Office in line with prepared and updated legislation checklist.
Prepares a comprehensive HSE vessel inspection checklist.
Provides and implements a system for vessel inspection to ensure HSE compliance.
Carries-out risk assessment in line with HIOSL risk assessment procedure to reduce or eliminate risk associated with Company’s Operations.
Conducts monthly site/vessel HSE inspections to ensure compliance with company HSE policies and procedures and submits findings to management in a timely manner.
Ensures HSE reports are sent to Client as requested in a timely manner.
Ensures all reported incidents and accidents are investigated in a timely manner.
Ensures investigation outcomes of accidents and incidents are reported to management in a timely manner.
Conducts bi-annual vessel HSE Audit and submits findings to management in a timely manner.
Recommends sanctions to management for HSE non-compliance.
B.Sc. degree in Occupational, Safety and Health, Engineering, Construction or in a related field.
Proven 3-5 years work experience in related role.
Relevant HSE Qualification -NEBOSH, IOSH required.
Ability to interact with the OVID software.
Previous experience in the Marine sector will be an added advantage.
Ensure vessels comply to drill schedule and keep records accordingly.
Carryout office emergency equipment test monthly.
Conducts in-house HSE briefing per crew change, HSE drills for office employee and reports submitted to management.
Maintains Company Man-hour Statistics.
