Job responsibilities

Participates in month-end closing activities, including analysis of COGM, COGS and inventory journal entries and reconciliation.
Conducts month-end stock-taking exercise of all inventory items in all our plants and generate stock-count variance report.
Make use of physical inventory process in SAP to update all stock-count variances after appropriate approval.
Reconciles daily production and materials usage variance with production, QC and PPC team.
Review actual overhead absorbed into finished products and compare with planned overhead monthly.
Drives cost roll-up in the system whenever the bill of materials is updated, new products are introduced or when there is change in the components of the bill of materials.
Monitors all inventory prices in material ledger and reports any abnormality.
Creates internal order for CAPEX related items and subsequent settlement at month-end.
Partners with financial planning & analysis and operations teams to coordinate budgeting and forecasting, including materials, labour and overhead expense forecasting, standard cost setting, etc.
Review all inventory general ledgers on regular basis and report any exception.
Assists in annual standard cost planning for inventory, labour and overheads.
Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management
Maintains and improves processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
Prepares maintenance cost report monthly.
Other tasks may be assigned.

Job requirement

HND/BSc in Accounting.
Good knowledge of SAP.
Advanced Excel knowledge.
Good knowledge of production accounting.
Excellent communication skills.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Manufacturing experience is required.
