Level: Assistant Manager
Reports to: Managing Director
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing, promoting, and creating awareness regarding the company’s Groupage/LCL Service.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to in line with agreed budgets
Oversee the development and delivery of sales proposals and presentations
Provide Executive Management weekly with relevant and clear information relating to LCL market activity
Identify and develop relationships with LCL international networks
Provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations
Identify and source for customers with LCL business trade links in Asia, Europe, US hubs.
Manage overseas network partners relationships
Gather market information and provide relevant feedback on competitor’s rates
Ensure conversion of prospective customers into new businesses
Liaise with Pricing Team, Sales team, and Operations to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing is provided in regular daily quotes
Any other duty as may be assigned
Not less than 5 – 7 years working experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry
Strong negotiation skills
Strong Sales skills
Proven track record in a related role
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven commercial awareness
B.Sc or HND in Marketing in any discipline
MBA will be an added advantage.
